BGI recruiting for 2006-2007 academic year

Bainbridge Graduate Institute is currently recruiting students for its 2006-2007 academic year. I graduated from BGI last May, after spending three years in its Sustainable Business MBA program. I still feel very connected to the school, its mission, and the current students. If you or someone you know wants to be a more effective change agent for environmental or social improvement, I definitely recommend checking out the program. I'm happy to answer questions about my experiences there.

Two things make BGI unique among schools. The first is obvious: it's the integration of sustainability into all the traditional business subjects. If life on this planet today is dominated by business, then the way to make changes is to change business. And BGI is accomplishing that by changing business education. So every traditional class, from economics to accounting, from operations to marketing, from strategy to business law is infused with sustainable business practices.

The second unique quality of BGI is the hybrid distance learning aspect. Students meet once per month for a long weekend. In between these weekend meetings, students work online through BGI's online collaboration and community tool. This approach builds a strong community among students by creating intensive educational, community building, and collaborative weekend programs, while still enabling a geographically diverse set of students attend from all over the United States and Canada.
